ANNUAL 1975

ABBA continue their European concert tour in January - ABBA film 4 short 'promo clips' in April and May and have them send to tv companies all over the world - ABBA's breakthrough in Australia with these clips is incredible - April 21, the album 'ABBA' is released - During the summer ABBA give concerts in Sweden - In November ABBA travel to the US for a promotional tour - In the same month the compilation 'ABBA - Greatest Hits' is released.

1975-02-01  ABBA to Paris for three days of promotion.  They sang 'So Long' on 'Samedi est à vous', 'Waterloo' and 'So Long' on 'Super Club' and they were invited on 'Système 2.

1975-04-16  ABBA in Paris again on 'Samedi est à vous' and 'Midi-première' with 'I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do'.

     

1975-04-18  ABBA on Toppop, Holland, performing 'I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do'. There is no material left from this performance.  Having a look at Frida and Björn's hair, it is plausible that 'S.O.S'. was also recorded at the Toppop studio's today. S.O.S. entered the Dutch charts mid-june, but the studio recordings for S.O.S. had been finished late 1974.

1975-06. .   Release single 'S.O.S'. - 'Man In The Middle'
1975-06-11  ABBA on the Eddy-Go-Round Show ( Holland) to perform seven songs: 'S.O.S', 'Waterloo', 'Honey, Honey', 'I do, I do, I do, I do, I do', 'So long', 'Rock me', 'I've been waiting for you' and 'Tropical Loveland' and to give an interview.  A photo session was held at the Hooge Vuursche Hotel.
There are pictures with ABBA eating in a restaurant with Dutch Eddy Becker. Also present was Dutch journalist Jip Golsteijn. Before or after dinner, the photosession by the lake took place.
